Information and tools that are so useful when understood seem merely a confusing information overload. For those entering LIU, questions such as: How do I book a room? How do you view your schedule? Time Edit is a planning tool for educational institutions in scheduling and resource management. Time Edit is used by a number of colleges and universities in Sweden and the rest of the world. On their website, in addition to LIU, they advertise customers as:

Time Edit via LIU’s web portal
Time Edit is often incorporated into or linked to on the university’s own student or staff portal. At LIU, all information for students is now gathered on LIUNET. For example, you can book a room, find your way around the campus and subscribe to an online timetable. LIUNET is brand new in December 2022 and replaces most parts of the previously used student.liu.se.

If you search for LIU on Time Edit’s own website, you are presented with a range of choices. Students, staff and Region Östergötland can log in to book rooms, or without logging in view the schedule or preliminary schedule. The provisional timetable is not final, but during the referral period teachers will post messages here to the timetable coordinator about what may change. You can change the language by clicking on the drop-down menu in the top right corner, where you can choose “Swedish”, “English” or automatic selection.
Beyond LIU and Time Edit
It can be reassuring to know that once you learn one system, it is very easy to understand how to navigate the others. Different institutions tend to build their web portals in a similar way and use the same digital services. You can therefore use basic search techniques to learn how to navigate in any institution.
